  • Ensure parents can access students current achievement and progress easily; informal chats, students’ books, wall displays, blogs, students’ explanations of their learning

Feb 2016
Full analysis of writing samples to gain an understanding of strengths and weaknesses.

Week 9, Term 3 2016
I kept a lot of notes while students were presenting their speeches to the class.  I then used these notes to determine the finalists, as well as give feedback to the students about what they did well, and could improve for next time.

Term 3 2016
At the end of this term, all student books went home for the holidays.  Parents have been invited to comment in each book.  The students in my class also have an individual blog, which they use to share information about what they've been doing at school.  Parents are able to access this at any time.

February 2017
We have completed our maths assessments, and I have kept accurate records of the data.  This will be used to inform my teaching, identify strengths and weaknesses and to establish which students will be cross grouped.

End of Term 1, 2017
Exercise books have been sent home again for parents to look at over the school holidays.  Again, we are asking them to make a positive comment in each book.  This is an excellent way for parents to keep with what their child is doing/learning about at school.
